St. Johns CARES, Inc. (formerly JCP CARES) is a nonprofit organization committed to helping local charities in St. Johns County. We provide assistance to local charities and those in need through donations and time. We divide our charity efforts into five different categories; Animals & Environment, Senior & Veterans, Children & Education, Medical and Homeless & Abused. We focus on these categories throughout the year.
Helping Hands of Nocatee has joined St. Johns CARES as St. Johns CARES Kids to work alongside one another supporting the charities in St. Johns County with more family and kid friendly activities.
Coats for Kids will be collected during the month of November.
St. Johns CARES is supporting Somebody Cares St. Augustine and the St. Johns County School District Homeless Student Task Force in their Winter Coat drive during the month of November.
Many of our over 800 homeless students and unaccompanied youth, do not have winter clothing items. The needed items are, winter coats, sweat shirt jackets, lightweight jackets, new socks, and new underwear. Items should not have logos for alcohol or tobacco companies, and may be new or used in good condition.
Coats will be collected during the month of November, and delivered to the St. Johns County School District's clothes closet.
